Plants are fascinating organisms. But climate change is transforming where they grow and how they survive. My lab explores how climate change affects the fundamental ways that plants manage the resources needed to survive (e.g. carbon and water).

I am currently a Grand Challenges Initiative Fellow and Senior Research Associate at Chapman University. In this role, I inspire teams of students to develop a passion for learning and inquiry by exploring solutions to “grand challenges”. This job is both challenging and inspiring on a daily basis.
